DESCRIPTION:
 
In this hands-on creative writing and design class, students will work together to plan, write, edit, and publish their own newsletter. Every three sessions, the group will produce a new issue filled with articles, interviews, reviews, artwork, and class news. Students will rotate through real newsroom roles—such as writer, designer, and photographer—so everyone gets to try different responsibilities and develop new skills.
 
Throughout the course, students will learn the basics of clear writing, visual layout, teamwork, and meeting shared deadlines. By the end of the season, each student will have contributed to several published newsletters and built confidence in communication, creativity and collaboration.
